Apple, I want to rip into you
with my teeth like knives,
lips curled fangs bared.
I want your juices now
dripping up
my grizzled chin,
murder for hire,
in African rain
sky perspires.
Animals linger and stand
at edges of pond water,
dust everywhere.
I chew you,
each bite crushed
on purpose, tasting
savoring sugary
goodness —
it goes down,
all the way drizzling
down.
