Tending, Tasting
She lingers blooming
In the garden
Early
Beige bathrobe, tousled
Hair, English Breakfast tea
In thankful hands,
Soaking
Savoring
Simmering
As she loiters
Within
And underneath
Sunshine’s showerspray
Of delicious warmth;
Her mind’s a frisky
Hummingbird sipping
Fingers of tasty nectar
From this luscious earth.
