THE BEAUTIFUL MUNDANE: POETRY, ORIGINAL PAINTINGS, PHOTOGRAPHS by Peter "Break the wine glass and fall towards the glass-blower's breath." "Walk out like someone suddenly born into color!" Rumi
My grandson tall as a table lamp
lugged and tugged a bushel of apples
through a Hood River orchard in rain.
Cheeks radiant, pink as the sky
At dusk, brown eyes intent
On the job at hand, seriously
Sweet ripening flames.
