          Come

Come, step with me
into Springtime’s waterfall….

Will you part this wet curtain and
breathe deeply of simple
replenishment?

Feel yourself inside watery molecules
and freely fall into liquid pleasure.

Generously radiate this cool
mist of yourself into the damp
soil and lacey ferns of April.

Give the enduring Douglas firs
and streambed hugging alders
a deep drink of your life. They offer

you welcoming beyond thought’s
drought, these tired habits of rightdoing
and wrongdoing. Those false seasons,

dried out categories you wish
to leave behind.

Come, step with me where
fullness flows, all ways, all times.
