the gray milky day
seeping through
these somber
slowly waking
streets,
this lost internet
connection
frustrating my
self-centered
intention for
creative
communication,
anticipation
of seven clients
to be heard
and seen
with care
in the next
eight or nine
hours of a Friday,
and no idea really
of what to write
this morning,
leads me
plodding on
to one
and only one
pristine,
perhaps un/
avoidable,
conclusion:
(sorry, to construct
something specific
would only foster
delusion)
